Patchwork and Crepes

What a great afternoon out with the girls... well, Laurence and Dawn... to see a Patchwork exhibition at the Maisons des Associations in Toulouse... Although traditional patchwork is not really my thing I admire all the time and patience people must spend...

A few days away!

With our new "camper van" at the ready we escaped South for a few days... direction? The sea. First stop, Leucate, right next to the beach for our Easter Eggs and frisbee... then on to a clifftop somewhere near Port Vendres.. I thought the van was going...

Italia

Another few days away "camper vanning"!! Completely crazy to go to Italy but well worth the drive; pizza, pasta, antipasti, tiramisu, crazy relaxed Italians, the sea, the sun, little clifftop villages, beauty every where you look, tantalising colours...

UK Workshop

Wow a Thursday again without any commitments.. what a pleasure! So a bit of time to finish off my little book(s) that I started over the weekend at a Sandra Meech Workshop in Dorset. The course itself was a bit of a disappointment but it helped recharge...

Splashing in the puddles

Spring here.. so off to Cordes-sur-Ciel we went, last time we went Elio was just a tiny bump in my tummy.. so funny to see him running around, climbing every wall, splashing every puddle.. what fun for a two and a quarter old.. today!!! No time for sketching...

Birthday celebrations

What a lucky girl I am. Have had a full three weeks of birthday celebrations... an honorary birthday at Preniac with lots of bits of lovely fabric and bits, tea and cake, the day itself with my man and kids and more cake, a weekend with my Mum and brother,...

Another Flying Visit

Yet another whistlestop trip to the UK, this time with Elio my son! He loved the plane, bus and train to get there (his mum was rather exhausted)... and still enough enthusiasm left to enjoy a welcome cuddle from nanny and grandad! Despite misty weather...

Making the most of them..?

How many Mums must find it this hard not having time to do any creative stuff... I LOVE my kids, theyre so cute and lovely and small and everyone says you have to make the most of them... but I'd like just a few more miliseconds to do a few more mini-sketches......

An Autumn walk en famille

Such fun walking in those ever so crunchy leaves by the canal with Eva, squealing with delight at every crunch and Elio rushing by. A few pebbles and sticks to throw and a bit of bread for the ducks (although think Eva ate most of it) and a hot thermos...

Getting back into it

Well, it's been a while, but Eva's now 14 months and Elio over three and a half, AND it's a big birthday soon... so I went back to Studio Preniac!! This time with Gwen Headley. It lived up to all my expectations.. and more... a fantastic group of people...

Studio Preniac and Cas Homes again!

Another great week doing textiley things in the Lot.. this time completely hands free.. so lots of early morning walks and sketches, chilling by (and in) the pool, evening drinks and most importantly lots of time faffing around with lovely bits of paper...

Crepes

Snowy February days with two small beings and no chance to be "creative" as such... so I can just count my blessings that my main activity is removing fluff from my little baby girl's toes and reading Dragon stories to my son... trying to stay present...

Signs of Spring in the garden

The sun came out for a few minutes (before the rain!), so had a quick walk round the garden and in the house... As I keep starting things and never finishing.. today decided to mix them up a bit.. but end up with a similar result..!! Oh well hopefully...

New year Weavings
